Healing souls and glorifying God through art
What is the point of Lavish Phones NY?
Hi my name is Virgilio Lopez and I am the CEO of Lavish Phones NY. I am 29 years old and grew up in Long Island, New York. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and an entrepreneur with multiple businesses.
I created lavish phones in 2017. This was my first business as an entrepreneur. My goal of the business was originally to create art that represented black and brown folks and put them onto phone cases. After three years, in 2020, I shut the business down because of personal situations going on in my life and a lack of motivation. It was too much for me to keep up with and I moved on to other projects.
Now In 2024 I am in a better place in my life and have more purpose for running this business. I am JOYFULLY starting everything from scratch again.
Throughout the course of my 20s, I overcame extreme trauma. I was a victim of physical, spiritual and emotional abuse many years ago. The psychological pain lasted for many years. I remember all the feelings of shame, guilt, unworthiness, rejection, low self esteem and many more that I carried for almost all of my 20s.
Even after many attempts at therapy, talking with trusted friends and family, I was unable to find peace. They all helped out a lot but it just wasn’t enough.
Things started to change when I turned my life to God. I experienced a lightness in my soul and started to have forgiveness in my heart. I wasn’t so upset about how unfair life was. I began to learn that I was surrounded by an abundance of love in every area of my life. Because my transformation has been so radical I want to help others achieve the same healing that I did. I believe art is the perfect outlet for this.
The goal of my phone cases is to glorify God and bring healing through art. Those who have ever been abused whether it be physical abuse, sexual abuse, spiritual abuse or emotional abuse need to know that they are not alone in their fight for healing. We can all stand together and support one another in our journey. We are not victims we are survivors and can overcome anything!
